Willow Magic

Willow Magic:

Willow wood is a sacred wood with connected use in ancient Hebrew, Greek, Viking/Northern European, even Native American cultures. Its mystical and curative properties were known before written history. The purpose and use of the Willow and its parts has been mainly for medicinal use. The bark makes a very relaxing and curative tea if steeped properly. (never boil it) Herbalist have a long list of curative elements from the willow which they combine into excellent natural remedies. The Willow is a female spirit and is closely connected to the moon and psychic influences or energies, also representing the spring element at its highest with a spring or leap into manifestation. The willow wood is after all one of the most effective talisman’s known to man both ancient and modern. As a sympathetic connector to the subconscious the willow wand helps discover and use the cosmic energy flow that is available to us through the channel of the sub-conscious mind. There are stories that Merlin used a willow wand in conjunction with vibration intonation to put the stones in place at Stonehenge.

After 25 years experience with both willow wand meditations and willow tea *themastermoore is able to say that they are both useful and effective, and may I add, fun, noting some of the antics of a wand in meditation. No doubt willow bark tea has been on many occasions that small soothing touch that took the edge off a nagging and painful situation. Always consult your physician with unusual pain symptoms occur but properly steeped willow tea should not hurt.
