Numerology
Numerology:
Numerology can be found in any religion, mystic order, occult or anywhere for that matter, numbers surround us and are away to define the energy which creates us and binds us. The use of numbers for divination purposes has been lost in mathematicians of today, given the name pseudo-mathematics and looked upon as astrology is to astronomers. The art itself has had many rebirths but never could it die, this would constitute a loss of numbers all together for as long as we can count someone will marvel at the commonality of numbers and develop a system to utilize this knowledge. There is no definite origin of numerology as most oracles origins are shrouded in time but to the great philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras created a method which has survived many centuries of time and is still in use today. Many that came after Pythagoras added to the popularity of the divination process of numerology like St. Augustine of Hippo with his statement "Numbers are the Universal language offered by the Deity to humans as confirmation of the truth." The discipline was all but lost until 1911 when L. Dow Balliet published a series of books which brought numerology back out of hiding and in the last 100 the art has grown exponentially. The purpose of the oracle is to help point out the cosmic vibration tied to that numerical value, with methods of interchanging letters into numbers one is able to find the cosmic influence a name carries or birth date or maybe that given day itself, numerology can assist in many decisions, investments, relationships, large purchases, jobs, the possibilities for numerology are limited by imagination only, as everything in this world has a numerical value, physical or meta-physical.
